The Intro page

Hi. I'm Noelle. Let me tell you a little about myself . . . I was born in upstate New York, the twelfth of thirteen children. Yes, my parents were amazing. I went to Lansing Elementary School, then to Southern Cayuga for Junior and Senior High School. I really enjoyed school, for the most part. I especially enjoyed social studies, which led me to major in history later in college. I first attempted a major in Phys Ed. I attended SUNY Cortland for a year, but when I decided to change my major, I went ahead and left home for real and went to Brigham Young University where I did in fact graduate with a degree in history. To do what? you might ask. Hmmmm, good question.

So anyway, after I graduated with no real idea of what I wanted to do I went to Washington DC where I worked as a nanny for a year and a half. I really enjoyed it and gained a great deal of experience from my time there. I couldn't do that forever, though, and I still didn't know what I wanted to do.

I had a very moving experience which caused me to desire to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I submitted my papers and was called to the Argentina Bahia Blanca Mission. I was pretty nervous about that. I didn't really know what to expect, but I can honestly say that my mission changed my life forever. I gained so much from it. My knowledge and testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ grew exponentially, and I developed a genuine love for the people of Argentina. I am blessed forever because of my mission. More about that later.

When I came home, back to New York, I realized that I didn't have much going on for me there. I love the area, but I didn't feel that I could support myself in that area. My sister Ladawn invited me to move to Louisville, Kentucky, close to her, to get back on my feet after living out of the country for a year and a half. So I did. Even though Ladawn and her family moved away a little over a year after I arrived, I stayed. I love living here. One of the best things about Louisville, is that here I met the love of my life, Jeff.
